BIO

Greg's career began at 6 years old when he and his 5 brothers would sit around on the family room floor playing, "Name That Tune" with their K-Tel Records. Although Greg enjoyed the game he was quickly dismissed as the host because; A- 6 year olds should not be allowed to play with stereos because needles scratch vinyl and make records skip; and B- Car Wash is a great song but NOT every time. Either way he still managed to sneak the records to school for parties all through grade school. High school was different because that's when he actually got paid to be a DJ both in bars and at dances.

At 19 Greg furthered his education by going to Canadore College in North Bay to learn something he already knew how to do... (What a concept!!) be a DJ. During his first year he won the "On-air Personality Award" for the college radio station. (As he puts it, "Likely because he was the only one who didn't swear the first time he was on the radio introducing a song, and the record didn't 'wrrrrreeowwww in' when it started. Don't ya just love CD's and modern technology?) During his first summer he was hired to host the evening show at a station in one of Canada's largest tourist markets. (CFBK-FM) Upon graduating with his Broadcasting Diploma he went straight to work in his hometown of Hamilton at 820 CHAM. Wanting to see more of Canada Greg moved out West where he was the Afternoon Drive host at CJCD in Yellowknife. He also put his writing talents to work when he became the Creative Director of the station. Two years later, after learning to ride polar bears bare-back and eating all the bannock he could, Greg had been going through such terrible smog withdrawl that he moved back to Hamilton so he could pollute his lungs with more of that fresh steel town air, and 820 CHAM was more than happy to have him back on the air. That's also when Greg got his first taste of the film industry. He landed a small role in an independant music video for a Country artist. From CHAM Greg moved to KX96 where he was both the Evening Show Host and Music Director. After working on a CBC movie called, "Four Arrows" the director asked him to play a small role in an episode of the TV show "La Femme Nikita". In the mean-time his radio career took him across the street to competing station Magic 949 where he eventually hosted every day-part. He also merged his interest in fitness with television when he hosted his first TV show called, "Flex For Fitness", which aired regionally for two seasons across Ontario. Greg also began using his talents in commercials, corporate videos, CD ROMS, websites etc... He has done work for Sony Music, Warner Music, HMV, The Saskatchewan Roughriders or Rough Riders, (One of them is spelled correctly.) CP Rail, Dr Pepper and more.

In 2003 Greg was hired from Country 105 in Calgary, where his show was number one in the market, by Y108 in Hamilton to host the Saturday Night Request Fest. After his first year at Y108 his ratings close to tripled with a predominantly male rock audience eventhough his background has been mainly with female-targeted stations. Because of his love of Country Music and with his knowledge and experience in the Country format Greg was hired to work at Y108's sister station in Toronto, Country 953. In 2007 he accepted an offer to work for CHUM Radio at Kool FM in Kitchener where he hosts weekends and other shows. He also wishes he could live on Mars.
